DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Perinatal nurse with five (5) or more years of experience in clinical and administrative systems
  • Knowledge of national standards, regarding perinatal nursing and safety/QI projects
  • Experience with inpatient and or outpatient/ambulatory obstetrics within the last 5 years
  • Project management experience and skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with leadership teams and staff on multiple, competing projects
  • Demonstrated ability to write and edit scientific text and education materials for clear and concise communication of concepts
  • Experience and skill in curriculum development
  • Ability to coordinate and provide outreach education to varied providers, outpatient/ambulatory staff and hospitals
  • Experience and skill in collecting, reporting and analyzing outcome data
  • Ability to travel within California

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):

Bachelor's degree and three or more years of relevant experience or combination of education, training, and relevant experience. Advanced degree preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):

  • Ability to develop program partnerships with hospitals and outpatient clinics.
  • Knowledge and experience implementing Quality Improvement initiatives and programs.
  • Understanding and commitment to Birth Equity and working with communities of color.
  • Excellent oral, written, and analytical skills, exhibiting fluency in area of specialization.
  • Ability to oversee and direct staff and volunteers.
  • Self-directed and accountable for driving program goals and objectives

Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the University reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental  budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs. The pay range for this position working in the California Bay area is $90,000 to $136,000 based on commensurate experience and background.

  • Advanced degree or certification may be required for some programs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:

  • Frequently stand/walk, sitting, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, perform desk-based computer tasks.
  • Occasionally use a telephone, writing by hand, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 40 pounds.
  • Rarely sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh >40 pounds.
  • Ability to use voice to present information/communicate with others.
  • On-campus mobility.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • May work extended hours, evenings or weekends.
