To be successful in this position, you will
bring:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business
Administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of supervisory experience
leading major cross-functional projects.
- Project Management: Demonstrated experience in
managing operations and processes that effectively drive stakeholder decisions
and project completion, often involving cross-functional and/or organization-wide
initiatives. Strong record of effectiveness in managing challenging and
stressful situations, with changing priorities. Ability to adjust thinking in
emergency situations and develop administrative policies.
- Organizational Excellence: Superior
organizational skills, with an ability to work independently, meet deadlines,
exercise considerable judgment, discretion, and initiative in coordinating and
overseeing the work of others, and in managing multiple projects to completion.
- Strategic Partner: Demonstrated ability advising senior
executives in how best to advance priorities and proposals. Proven success offering solutions and taking
ownership of activities that create insights and bandwidth for leadership to
have greater strategic focus.
- Relationship Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills that include a combination of candor, tactfulness, and good rapport in a
variety of situations and audiences. Ability to manage confidential tasks or
situations requiring sensitivity and discretion. Knowledge of protocol, careful
attention to detail, sound judgment and discretion when working with
individuals from academia, business, and government.
- Clarity:
Ability to research, report and facilitate discussion on complex
subjects. Able to present data in a
manner that enables clear understanding of interests and options for improved
decision making. Success creating
systems and processes that make clear the agenda and status of organizational
efforts.
- Institutional Knowledge: Functional operating
knowledge of Stanford, including the infrastructure, traditions, and
environment. Knowledge of government entities and academic environment, along
with business structures, and an understanding of different cultures is
desired.
- Flexibility: Energy, resilience, and good
humor. Flexibility in schedule, ability to travel nationally and abroad for
extended periods of time.
- People Manager:
Knowledge and the ability to apply sound supervisory practices.
In addition, our preferred requirements include:
- Master's degree or equivalent in education and
work experience in a graduate school environment.
- Broad working knowledge of Stanford, including
direct exposure to Stanford GSB operations.
- Entrepreneurial
mindset with ability to design and develop concepts, programs and innovations.
