Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree and eight years of increasingly technical work experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Detailed understanding of relevant business and technical knowledge.

  • Ability to resolve issues quickly and make decisions that meet university objectives, in a collaborative culture.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff.

  • Exceptional customer relationship skills, consensus building skills, and ability to establish effective working relationships in a diverse environment.

Preferred/Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven capacity to set enterprise technology direction and deliver complex, institution-wide programs.

  • Deep expertise in systems architecture and integration, with rapid, sound technical decision-making.

  • Adept at building and developing high-performing technical and managerial teams, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.

  • Skilled at stakeholder engagement, consensus-building, and clear communication, with strong customer relationship management in diverse environments.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:

  • Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.

  • Frequently sitting.

  • Occasionally stand/walk, reach/work above shoulders, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, grasp forcefully, use a telephone, sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.

  • Rarely twist/bend/stoop/squat, kneel/crawl.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

May work extended hours, evenings and weekends.

 

The expected pay range for this position is $211,324 to $240,972 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of the salary or hourly wage the university reasonably expects to pay for a position upon hire. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay for comparable jobs. At Stanford University, base pay represents only one aspect of the comprehensive rewards package.
