Qualifications:

Minimum Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's degree and ten years of relevant audit, compliance or other relevant experience in higher education, health care, research-based non-profit organizations, or government contracting. 

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Demonstrated strategic leadership, planning and change management skills. Ability to lead and motivate others and earn the respect of associates at all levels.
  • Highly effective written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. Proven presentation experience and comfort with senior management audiences and effective facilitation skills with diverse groups.
  • Excellent strategic skills to craft and help implement organizational strategies and plans for campus-wide initiatives.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills. Able to influence people, solve problems, trouble shoot, think creatively, and resolve conflicts. 
  • Significant experience in assessing compliance risks in a large research university or other complex environment. Working knowledge of OMB Uniform Guidance. Familiarity with the Federal Sentencing Guidelines criteria for effective compliance and ethics programs. 

Desired: Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, JD), and additional professional certifications (e.g., CFE). Leadership positions within the compliance, ethics, or internal auditing profession.
