MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

·       Must have sufficient experience to qualify as a journey level cabinetmaker, with approximately four years actual work at the trade.  This may include time spent in apprenticeship or in vocational training or a combination of equivalent education and work experience.

·       Must be skilled in the use of the tools, materials, and equipment of the cabinetmaker trade.

  • Requires that employees be skilled in tasks they direct and be able to solve task-related problems.
  • Must have the ability to affect good working relationships with requesters and other employees.
  • Must be able to follow written and/or oral instructions and communicate those instructions to others.
  • Must also be knowledgeable of applicable ES&H and OSHA rules, regulations and requirements.
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills (both verbal and written).  

 

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES REQUIRED:

·       Must possess and maintain a valid California Class C Non-commercial Driver’s License.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

·       May be required to work overtime, evenings and weekends, including Holidays, sometimes in inclement weather conditions.

·       Required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

 

WORK STANDARDS:

·       When conducting university business, must comply with the California Vehicle Code and Stanford University driving requirements.

·       Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrates the ability to work well with Stanford colleagues and clients and with external organizations.

·       Promote Culture of Safety: Demonstrates commitment to personal responsibility and value for safety; communicates safety concerns; uses and promotes safe behaviors based on training and lessons learned.

·       Subject to and expected to comply with all applicable University policies and procedures, including but not limited to the personnel policies and other policies found in the University’s Administrative Guide, http://adminguide.stanford.edu/ and the appropriate collective bargaining agreement at https://cardinalatwork.stanford.edu/hr-processes-policiespolicies/labor-relations-collective-bargaining.

 

The expected pay range for this position is $50.20 (Step 1) to $60.72 (Step 10) per hour.  Placement in the pay range is subject to the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
