Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in architecture, and/or Urban Design, with more than five years of directly related experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
Communication skills: Ability to clearly and concisely present key campus planning concepts and building designs to key university constituents, professional consultants, and UA/CPD employees in both written and verbal formats.
Facilitation skills: Ability to facilitate working groups to bring to consensus concepts and ideas with key university constituents, and professional consultants.
Field supervision by setting quality control standards: Ability to guide and communicate recommendations to the consultants. This includes setting quality standards through mock-ups and control samples.
Strategic skills: Ability to understand the attributes of Stanford University’s campus architecture (contemporary and historical) and convey how it informs planning and architectural solutions.
Experience in higher education, historic preservation, and/or housing is a plus.
Specific training: Architecture and Design, Computer skills (Word, Excel, AutoCAD, Power Point, Photoshop, and Illustrator), historic research.
Certifications and Licenses:
CA architecture license a plus.
