EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
- Ph.D. required; at least 3 years of postdoctoral research experience preferred.
- A strong background required in at least one of these two areas: (1) classical and molecular Drosophila genetics (including transgene design, cloning, and molecular biology), and (2) live microscopy and computational image analysis (e.g. Python, MATLAB, or R).
- The successful candidate must be technically rigorous and highly organized, with a track record of productivity in research.
- Demonstrated success in obtaining research funding preferred.
- Outstanding interpersonal and writing skills are imperative. A writing sample will be requested as part of the evaluation process.
The expected pay range for this position is $68,238 to $80,000 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
