The successful applicant must have a PhD, MD, MD/PhD or equivalent with prior relevant training and coursework in biology and chemistry. Experience in grant and paper writing is beneficial. The applicant will need to be able to multi-task and will be expected to contribute to multiple ongoing projects in the lab.  Sterile tissue culture techniques, cell-based imaging and assays (immunohistochemistry, fluorescence microscopy, confocal microscopy, ELISA) and mesenchymal stem cell biology experience are also preferred.  He/she should be able to work independently in a dynamic, fast paced team environment and is expected to be organized and highly productive. Successful applicants will also have a track record of productive research, presentations and publication. 

 

REQUIRED:  

  • Excellent command of English  
  • Comprehensive understanding of scientific principles. 
  • Knowledge and skills in field of science related to research project
  • General computer skills, experience with databases and scientific applications, and ability to quickly learn and master computer programs.
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent judgment.
  • Ability to maintain detailed records of experiments and outcomes.
  • Ability to work under deadlines with general guidance is essential. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to accurately complete detailed work accurately.
  • Developing project management skills.  


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Writing grants and papers, Organizing and writing protocols, Organizing Experiments, Ensuring seamless functioning of the lab
  • She will be responsible for writing sections for large grants. Weekly PowerPoint presentations and attendance at lab meetings.
  • S/he will independently perform experiments and develop experience in immunology, stem cells, and handling small animals.  Basic molecular biology techniques are required for successful independent functioning in the lab
  • Data processing, bioinformatical analysis, statistical analysis.
