MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree and minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a social media expert or digital journalist.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

A deep understanding of how to attract, grow and engage digital audiences including, but not limited to, using social media, paid promotion, search, third-party aggregators, and content partnerships.
A passion for creating content optimized for different digital media platforms, tailored to their very different creative constraints and opportunities.
Skilled at imagining and articulating how different social platforms might advance editorial strategies, as well as how to shape the approach to each outlet.
A curiosity for discovering new platforms, compelling spins on familiar platforms, and notable developments in social media.
Experience in measuring impact and creating metrics reports (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights and Publishing Tools, Twitter Analytics, Sprinklr, etc.).
Experience drawing insights from data and analytics to inform editorial strategies and define and achieve success.
Proficiency in image and video editing platforms such as Final Cut X and Adobe Lightroom a plus, but not required.
An ability to problem solve and work independently to meet expected deadlines and schedules.

Knowledge of the web, technology, social platforms, and current and anticipated trends.
Excellent writing and analytical skills.
Demonstrated commitment to proactively solving problems and contributing solutions.
Ability to leverage platform developments to help an organization.
Operates independently to meet expected deadlines and schedules.
Experience contributing to highly-functioning teams.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:

Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
Frequently stand/walk, sit, use a telephone, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, speaking.
Occasionally grasp forcefully, writing by hand.
Rarely sort/file paperwork.
