MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree and minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a social media expert or digital journalist.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • A deep understanding of how to attract, grow and engage digital audiences including, but not limited to, using social media, paid promotion, search, third-party aggregators, and content partnerships.
  • A passion for creating content optimized for different digital media platforms, tailored to their very different creative constraints and opportunities.
  • Skilled at imagining and articulating how different social platforms might advance editorial strategies, as well as how to shape the approach to each outlet.
  • A curiosity for discovering new platforms, compelling spins on familiar platforms, and notable developments in social media.
  • Experience in measuring impact and creating metrics reports (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights and Publishing Tools, Twitter Analytics, Sprinklr, etc.).
  • Experience drawing insights from data and analytics to inform editorial strategies and define and achieve success.
  • Proficiency in image and video editing platforms such as Final Cut X and Adobe Lightroom a plus, but not required.
  • An ability to problem solve and work independently to meet expected deadlines and schedules.

  • Excellent writing and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to proactively solving problems and contributing solutions.
  • Ability to leverage platform developments to help an organization.

  • Experience contributing to highly-functioning teams.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
  • Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
  • Frequently stand/walk, sit, use a telephone, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, speaking.
  • Occasionally grasp forcefully, writing by hand.
  • Rarely sort/file paperwork.
