Required Qualifications
- A model record of integrity.
- An advanced degree in law, science, engineering, medicine, finance, business, or public policy.
- At least 10 years of experience in a complex research and/or regulatory environment.
- Experience in research compliance, administration, and program development and implementation.
- Knowledge of federal regulations.
- Ability to interpret and explain federal regulations to a broad range of audiences within the University.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, and conflict management skills.
- Ability to work with faculty.
- Proven ability to motivate, engage, and develop the team.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
- Ability to develop educational programs for faculty and staff.
- Demonstrated experience at building consensus among diverse constituencies.
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively and confidentially with difficult situations and with individuals who serve in a broad range of positions within the academic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in export compliance, foreign engagement, conflict of interest, research data governance, and/or industrial research contracts.
