To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Sponsored research experience and knowledge (strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in corporate and/or foundation prospect research and identification, relationship building, proposal and budget development, and solicitation.
  • Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and corporate and foundation executives.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to translate complex concepts into a compelling case for philanthropic support.
  • Proven ability to work within a complex environment with competing university and funder agendas.
  • Commitment to a collaborative culture, with the patience, persistence, and flexibility to build consensus and facilitate decision-making across multiple constituencies.
  • Growth mindset with experience mentoring and working with volunteers, faculty, and staff.
  • Advanced ability with Microsoft Office suite.

 

This remote role is open to candidates anywhere in the United States. Stanford University has five Regional Pay Structures. The compensation for this position will be based on the location of the successful candidate.

The expected pay range for this position is $136,000 to $163,000 per annum.

Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
