Bachelor’s degree and ten years of relevant experience and management experience, preferably in an educational institution or nonprofit, or a combination of education and relevant experience. Advance degree is a plus.

Significant major gift fundraising experience, with a demonstrated record of success and a shared belief that fundraising follows strong relationship building.

Experience with opening new portals for prospect identification; the GSE aspires to expand its philanthropic partners beyond its current donors.

Excellent judgment, interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to lead and motivate others and earn the respect of associates at all levels.

Demonstrated experience recruiting, evaluating, mentoring, and developing staff. Ability to cultivate talent and inspire the team to reach aspirational goals while creating positive environments in which every team member feels empowered, valued and supported.

Capable of seeing the big picture while utilizing strategic skills to craft both overarching and personalized fundraising plans, alumni relations and community engagement opportunities.

Proven ability to meet fundraising goals with a strong track record in managing and balancing donor and faculty relationships. Ability to guide faculty and help them achieve fundraising success.

Ability to manage multiple fundraising activities simultaneously while also collaborating with OOD, school and unit colleagues where and when necessary. A commitment to transparency and donor-centricity is a must.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrated experience engaging and motivating groups of diverse individuals, including strong volunteer management skills.
