MINIMUM REQURIEMENTS:

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree and eight years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience. 
  • Master’s degree in Student Affairs Administration or related discipline and higher education experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Extensive knowledge of the peoples and cultures of the Muslim world, as evidenced by academic expertise, public service, advocacy, and/or prior work experience; the ability to develop community and assist students in navigating within the university environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with and gain support from a broad and diverse array of constituents, including students, staff, faculty, alumni, parents, community members and visitors is essential.
  • Advanced communication skills to clearly and effectively communicate information to internal and external audiences, client groups, and all levels of management.
  • Strong analytical skills to review and analyze complex financial information, develop and manage budgets and expenditures.
  • Fundraising and development experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and strategic management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and developing staff.
  • Understanding of underlying technological needs and requirements.
  • User knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Working Conditions:
Evening and weekend hours, as needed, to support student programs, services and events.

Physical Requirements:
  • Frequently sit, perform desk-based computer tasks.
  • Occasionally stand, walk, twist, use fine manipulation, grasp, use a telephone, write by hand, sort and file paperwork, lift, carry, push, and pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
