To be successful in this role you will bring:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Commitment to and knowledge of NCAA rules.
- Outstanding judgment, high ethical standards, and the capacity to deal effectively with a widely varied array of legal issues.
- A highly collegial approach to problem-solving and a willingness to engage in clear and transparent dialogue about both legal and non-legal issues.
- Demonstrated managerial and leadership acumen, founded upon a deep respect for persons at all levels in the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage staff through strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform effectively, calmly, and collegially under pressure.
- Exceptional ability to communicate and calibrate risk with clarity and directness.
- Ability to set priorities, coordinate multiple projects, meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated integrity and wisdom with the ability to inspire confidence and trust.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree
- Experience with NCAA rules compliance at Division I level
