To be successful in this position, you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
- A commitment to anti-bias education and diversity, equity, and inclusion, access and belonging work, approaching work duties through this lens.
- Experience in residential education and/or student affairs.
- Working knowledge of best practices of student development; understanding of the cultural, social and educational needs of students in residential communities.
- Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with colleagues.
In addition, preferred requirements include:
- Strong communication skills to clearly and effectively communicate information to internal and external audiences, client groups, and management.
- Experience with crisis response and crisis management.
- Advanced experience in residential programming for high school age participants.
- Experience managing communications with parents and guardians.
- Experience with Health and Wellness programs for pre-college students.
- Advanced analysis and problem solving skills.
- Advance computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Advanced customer service skills.
- Relevant computer systems/technology experience.
- Understanding of financial transactions.
- Ability to ensure and apply compliance with legal, financial, and university policies and external regulations.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently sit, perform desk-based computer tasks.
- Occasionally stand, walk, twist, use fine manipulation, grasp, use a telephone, write by hand, sort and file paperwork, lift, carry, push, and pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
Working Conditions:
- Routine extended working hours during peak cycles; travel to school/unit sites across university on a seasonal basis.
