To be successful in this position, you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience with volunteer development and oversight.
- Strong interpersonal, team, and leadership skills; tact and flexibility in working with diverse populations
- Positive, can-do attitude
- Demonstrated experience in managing projects, including project planning, scheduling, tracking, and budgeting.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, professionally representing the University.
- Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, prioritize work for self and
- volunteers, work independently as well as within a team
- Work under pressure and with frequent interruptions; pay attention to details; meet tight deadlines; set priorities; deal with difficult situations and/or individuals while maintaining composure; work independently and in small teams
- Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new systems.
In addition, preferred requirements include:
- Constantly perform desk-based tasks, as well as frequently stand/walk, sit.
- Occasionally grasp forcefully, use a telephone, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 40 pounds.
- Rarely writing by hand, sort/file paperwork, or parts.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a California Non-commercial Class license.
