To be successful in this position, you will bring:

Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.

Student development knowledge and experience in student affairs or within higher education setting.
-
Knowledge of Black student and community development in a university environment.
-
Advanced communication skills to clearly and effectively communicate information to internal and external audiences, client groups, and all levels of management.
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to review and analyze complex information.
-
Advanced computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity and proficiency with Google Docs and/or Box, Zoom and WebX and other video conferencing and online meeting tools.

Understanding of financial transactions.
-
Ability to ensure and apply compliance with legal, financial, and university policies and external regulations.

Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
In addition, our preferred requirements include:

Relevant experience that includes at least four years in higher education, focused on diversity, inclusion, and equity.

Knowledge of the challenges faced by Black undergraduate and graduate students in a highly selective residential institution and ability to assist students in navigating this environment.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with and gain support from a broad and diverse array of constituents, including students, staff, faculty, alumni, parents, community members and visitors is essential.
Working Conditions: Able to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
