MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
Associate degree plus two years of applicable experience, or combination of education and relevant work experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in basic business applications, such as Microsoft Office; user knowledge of Excel.
- Basic knowledge of accounting systems and the internet; computer literacy.
- Understanding of and ability to apply accounting skills and concepts.
- Ability to draft professional e-mails, memos, business letters, and reports, and to clearly and effectively communicate information to internal audiences and client groups.
- Familiarity with University financial systems (Oracle Financials, OBI) highly desired.
- Knowledge of fundraising and general knowledge of the University and hospitals helpful.
- Experience with software testing, including creating test plans and reporting bugs desired.
- Ability to guard confidential information essential.
Demonstrated proficiency in the following areas desired:
- Analytic problem solving: able to use a systematic approach in solving problems through analysis of problem and evaluation of alternate solutions.
- Decision making and problem solving: able to take action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a realistic understanding of issues.

- Tolerance of ambiguity: the ability to multitask and flourish in a high volume deadline-sensitive office. Able to deal with unresolved situations, frequent change, delays or unexpected events.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
- Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
- Frequently sit, sort, file paperwork or parts, grasp lightly, and use fine manipulation, lift, carry, push and pull objects that weigh 10 pounds or less.
- Occasionally write by hand, twist, bend, stoop and squat.
- Rarely stand, walk, reach or work above shoulders and use a telephone.
