DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with learning management system, like Learndash
  • Continuously learning about new cutting edge technologies for the support of online education
  • Knowledge of educational applications of social media
  • Intermediate skill in the use of MOOC platforms
  • Nice to have: knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, CSS and Javascript

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):

  • Bachelor's degree plus two years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):

  • Knowledge of current software and design standards.
  • Ability to define and solve logical problems for technical applications.
  • Ability to plan, design, develop, and evaluate engaging multimedia learning/training objects.
  • Knowledge of instructional design methodologies, pedagogical issues, and best practices for classroom, online and hybrid learning.
  • Strong knowledge of learning management systems and various classroom and online learning technologies.
  • Ability to problem-solve effectively, often with limited time and information.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and in a positive manner with others and to provide excellent customer service skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:

  • Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
  • Frequently sitting, grasp lightly/fine manipulation.
  • Occasionally stand/walk, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh 11-20 pounds.
  • Rarely writing by hand, use a telephone

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Extended hours and weekends.
  • Occasional overnight travel.
