MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience or combination of education, training, and relevant experience. Advanced degree may be required for some programs. Program administration and or research experience may be required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated oral, written, and analytical skills, exhibiting fluency in area of specialization.
- Ability to oversee and provide basic direction to staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
- The ability to anticipate and manage the cultural and reputational sensitivities of co-learning and partnership-building in remote, international, and resource-poor field settings requires a person with the cultural and interpersonal sensitivity, enthusiasm and energy.
- Knowledge and enthusiasm for international field work, and biodiversity assessment, conservation and development are strongly desired.
- Understanding and commitment to addressing the unique challenges of remote field work, and interdisciplinary and intergenerational collaboration in foreign locations, particularly as experienced by groups under-represented in these settings (women, BIPOC and young scientists, especially those for whom international/field experience is new). Passion for teaching and learning – both online and in-person.
Certifications and Licenses:
- For teaching jobs, advanced degree or certification may be required for some programs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
- Frequently stand/walk, sitting, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, perform desk-based computer tasks.
- Occasionally use a telephone, writing by hand, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 40 pounds.
- Rarely sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh >40 pounds.
- Ability to use voice to present information/communicate with others.
- On-campus mobility.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
